  1. Beige

From the recording Songs For The Visitor

The second single released from the new album, “Songs for the Visitor”, is the evocative “Beige”. It attempts to capture the cognitive dissonance one experiences in the grieving process whereby we might feel our loved one’s presence all around us, while simultaneously feeling profoundly alone. Here is the griever looking for rational explanations for something beyond our comprehension.

Lyrics

BEIGE

Is there a reason? A personal, seasonal stay.
Where one day, you tripped time.
And you find that endings aren't real.
Beige has come back, beige has come back to the grasses in the fields.

Here I am, in this place. I'm alone, it was such a short stay.

I need a reason, an action or thing. Big picture window, opening, closing. I miss the evenings...when endings weren't real. I am forgotten, I am forgotten, it's just how I feel.

Here I am, in this place. I'm alone, it was a short stay.
Here I am, in this place, it was a lifetime...but such a short stay.

I am forgotten, I am forgotten. It's just how I feel.
I am forgotten, I am forgotten. It's just how I feel.
And beige has come back, beige has come back to the grasses in the fields.
